My vaccinated puppy bit my son and drew blood. Is a rabies shot needed?

My son got a playful bite with a drop of blood from our three month old vaccinated Labrador puppy. Should I get my son injected.

You should definitely have your son seen by a healthcare provider. Puppies can be infected with rabies, so it's best to be safe and have a physician make the decision.     You should certainly go and see a Dr to have the bite assessed in case it needs treatment. It is very unlikely that you will contract rabies but wise to get checked in case of infection. Also consider behavioural training for your dog because even in play biting cant be tolerated as it can escalate.
