Pet's info: Dog | Alaskan Malamute | Male | 2 years and 9 months old | 50 lbs
Hello I'm writing you to consult with you about my dog, who as you can see in the picture has 3 dots in the cornea and they has appeared almost 1 month ago. My vet told me that it usually is from cat scratch and he told me to give him Recugel for eyecare, I've been using the medication for 15 days but it has no changes, also he told me that it must pass some time because it doesn't heal so easily but I want to ask you is there maybe some other treatment and can he lose the sight from this?

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I can see that Aron has some white dots in the eye, but it is difficult to localize them in the photo due to lack of depth. These may be small corneal ulcers or scratches, which can take a long time to heal and may be painful. If not treated properly, the ulcer or scratch can become very deep, become infected, and melt the cornea. However, at the moment, I do not see any signs of this in Aron's eye. You may want to get a second opinion from an ophthalmologist, who can prescribe additional medication and perform a procedure to speed up the healing process. I hope this helps and that all is well!
