My cats are throwing up hairballs frequently. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 20 lbs

I have two cats and they keep throwing up and coughing up nasty hairballs in the last few days. We are moving and packing up things and getting rid of things so I know they could just be stressed because things are changing but 2-3 times a day seems like a lot. They are indoor cats, they are still eating and drinking and going to the bathroom. I just want to make sure that they are okay I guess? Don't want to take them to the vet unless I have to.

It's probably either a stomach bug or something they ate that is causing that. you will need to monitor them closely, if the vomiting does not resolve within a few days you will need to take them to the vet in order to get it checked and treated.
