Why does my dog have a new bump on her stomach? Is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed

My dog has a bump or something on her stomach and it wasn't there before she hade I since Friday I don't know what it could be she is a lot tell over weight though and she just got groomed I don't know if that would help find out a possible problem I'm worried about it please reply soon

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is hard to see in the pictures. This could be a benign or malignant growth. This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign.
