How to help a stray cat with an eye problem without touching it?

Hello. A stray cat is staying outside my house and it appears that s/he has an eye problem. I tried to do some research on my own and if you check the 2nd photo this was what her/his eyes looked like before the 1st one (s/he has them closed all the time now). I don't know how to help him/her and I really want to, but I am afraid to try and touch him/her as s/he might have rabies. Please know I have 2 dogs which I've kept inside for the time being since they're very violent with cats. Please help. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 5 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor cat! Most eye problems are treated with eye ointment. Sadly you'd have to be able to catch the cat and apply the ointment twice daily. In order to get the medication the cat would need to be examined by a Vet. If there is a humane society or other organization that catches feral cats in your area consider contacting them to help catch the cat and get it medical care. The most common causes of ocular problems in cats are: viral disease, corneal ulcers or trauma. I hope this helps and I wish you the best!
