Why is my dog weak, twitching, and acting strange after her vaccine?

My dog all the sudden started running around and freaking out like she don't know anyone. She is very weak and can barely hold herself up. Also after getting her shots she does this weird twitch with her head and neck. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 28 days old | 3.5 lbs

I'm so sorry to hear ButterCup is having problems! I would recommend you take her to your vet to be evaluated as soon as possible. I am very concerned that she appears weak and can't seem to stand up. This could indicate a life threatening problem that needs to be addressed as soon as possible! If she just received a vaccination today, it is possible she is having a vaccine reaction. Vaccine reactions are uncommon but do occur and we want to treat them as soon as possible with appropriate drugs. If she received a vaccination days ago, then there may be something else going on with her and she may be in pain. Without doing an exam it is impossible to tell what the underlying cause is, but based on your description I would get her in to your vet quickly. If you can video the twitch she is doing that also would be helpful to show your vet in case she stops doing it by the time she is seen. I hope ButterCup is on the mend soon!
