Hi, thanksir using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! When dogs are in heat they drip blood from their vulvas and the vulva is swollen. The blood usually isn’t just seen in the urine. Dogs in heat usually don’t have urgency to urinate, straining or urinary accidents. Causes of blood in the urine are: urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine or bladder stones. I would collect urine and store it in the fridge and have Riley seen tomorrow by your Vet. I hope this helps!
