My cat with FeLV has been throwing up for over 24 hours. Help!

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 30 days old

My cat is throwing up since yesterday, multiple times a day. Yesterday it had more of a yellow color , as well as some of her wet food mixed in. Today it’s color has turned a little more white as seen in the pic below. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this for her? Should I be concerned? It’s my first time having a cat and She has feline leukemia. She is 9 months old. I will take her to the vet of course, if that is necessary. In the mean time I’d like to know what this could be.

I'm sorry that Mila is so sick! Yes, I would be concerned that she has been vomiting so much the past day. The vomiting could be caused by her feline leukemia (FeLV), as associated changes in the intestinal wall from FeLV can cause the vomiting. Her vomiting could also be caused by a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, or could have a foreign body. I would definitely have her seen by a vet right away for this. It's always recommended to take a cat to the vet when a cat has been vomiting multiple times for over 24 hours. Please take her into a vet now. Good luck, I hope this helps!
