Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed
I have a rabbit that has fur loss on her face in patches. This has happend before with my other rabbits and I have treated it the same but with this rabbit it is not helping. There is no flakiness on the areas with no fur. What could this be? And what should I do? Also she is pregnant so does that effect anything?

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Hair loss can be caused by fungal and skin mite infections. However, if Basil is pregnant, it is likely that she may be pulling hair from her dewlap (the flap of fur/skin right below the chin/on the neck) to make her nest. If the fur loss started prior to the pregnancy, then I recommend having it evaluated by a vet. I hope this helps!
