Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 10 months old | 30 lbs

When I went to vet , he told that hero's lymph has been swellon and difficult in walking when he gets up in morning but fine after sometime. He gave antibiotics and painkillers and hero's condition progressed means now his swelling decreased after 3 days of medication his fever came 103.6 °C AND at home it was normal. Actually hero is very uncomfortable with car and we were stuck in traffic for 1 hours so his temp increased within car as I was holding.his blood test r normal and he's playing ..

Thanks for visiting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach; however I am having a hard time finding out what your question is concering your pet. If her temperature only came up because you were holding her, then it should have come back to normal once you exited the car and were in the comfort of your home. Also if he is playing, then he likely is fine now. There are many causes of swollen lymph nodes; including, an inflammatory response, recent vaccinations, and cancer just to name a few. However, if Hero is improving, then I would recommend continuing the medication as prescribed and then rechecking her blodwork in 1-2 weeks to see how things are progressing. Also the vet will want to rechk her rectal temperature as well. Hopefully thiw as just an inflammatory response, and she will go back to normal soon; However, if things don't improve or resolve, its best to get her rechecked sooner for additional treatment and possible tesitng. I hope everything works out well for your pet Hero. Best wishes and take care.
