Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | unspayed | 0 lbs
Hello. I have observed my cat slightly twitching during sleep twice (He will move his legs and his body would twitch a little). Right after that,i could see a veil in his eyes and he went unresponsive. I tried go wake him for a few seconds but he didn't respond. I freaked out and call my dad. He picked him in his arms and after a few seconds my cat moved but wqs still very drowsy. P.s. i haven't had any pets before so clearly i don't know anything about them. Is this normal?

Thank you for contacting Pet Coach about your concerns regarding your cat! Cats do dream, and when they dream, they can move and twitch. It may be that he is in a very deep sleep, and he's twitching in response to dreams that he is having at the moment. This is normal behavior. Now it could be possible that he was having a seizure, but these happen just as the cat falls asleep or right before he wakes up. From your description, it would sound like to me he's having normal twitching behavior in response to dreams. You can take him into a vet for a health check to be sure, though. Good luck, I hope this helps!
