I’m about to get a puppy and I know she needs shots every few weeks until about 3 ish months? What shots do they get and should I be carful putting my dog around other animals/public places/walking? Thanks

Puppies need vaccinations every 3-4 weeks starting at 8 weeks of age until 16 weeks of age. She needs the DH2PP (5 in 1) three times, the kennel cough vaccine (bordetella) at least twice and rabies just once. They don't get rabies until the last set of vaccinations at 16 weeks of age. There are other vaccinations that she may need depending on her lifestyle (leptosporosis, lyme, influenza) but you will need to discuss that with your vet. Yes, you should be careful taking Honey around any other dogs with unknown or incomplete vaccination status until she is fully vaccinated at 16 weeks of age. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
