Is it safe to crush cat pills and mix into their wet food or water?

Hi, I've been taking care of my lovely street cats around my neighborhood, specially our garden. Since it's winter and sadly one of them is diagnosed Fip Virus, so i want others to be healthy&strong. So i bought a fluid herbal vitamin to mix into their water. And i've got also Renal Essentials Chewable Tablets but it's really hard to catch them to eat/swallow. So i wonder if i grind the tablets to make it mixed into their water or their wet food? Could this be helpful or damaging? Thank you! <3. You can grind the tablet to mix. Food will probably disguise it better than water but some cats will smell it and not eat the food then. I would watch the first few times you do it to make sure he eats the food with the medicine in it
