My found kitten has eye discharge. What's wrong and what should I do?

I have a found an approximately one month old kitten in my backyard porch; however he has eye discharge stuck in the bottom corner of his eye. What should I give and him and do you know what it could possibly be?

Thank you for providing a picture of the kitten! It looks like he could have an eye infection or may have injured his eye. He will need to see a vet immediately for this, this is not something that can be treated at home. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. This kitten will need a health check as well, given it was found abandoned. Please take him into a vet right away. Good luck, I hope this helps!
