My puppy died: Was it parvo or gastritis with bloody stool?

Our new puppy died last night i guess what I need to know if a puppy can die from gastritis? Personally I think it was provo just because he was bleeding from the butt and when get got him he was sick already but we only had him for 3 days exactly. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | 3 months and 13 days old | 7.5 lbs

For a puppy to have bloody diarrhea and pass away, parvo is the first concern. Gastritis means inflammation of the stomach which can be associated with parvo or a foreign body. Parvo, like most viral infections, takes 3-7 days from when you come in contact with it until sign show. So for him to be sick when you got him just 3 days ago, then he was already infected.
