Can I give my dog oil for a shiny coat? What kind and how much?

Can I feed him cod liver oil capsules? I want to give him oil to make his coat shiny what oils can he have and how do I mix it through his food? I feed him dry food just recently switched to royal canine also how much oil should I give him every day? Once a week twice a week?

I recommend using a product labeled for dogs, which are available in pet stores. These are typically dosed based on weight (larger dogs may require multiple capsules), and are given daily.
