My cat has runny eyes, sneezes, coughs. Vet care for scared cat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 7 lbs

2 yr old cat has runny eyes, sneezes and coughs. Can't bring her to vet as she is very scared (I just adopted her a few days ago) and I don't want to tramatize her again.

Hi. I'm sorry Juliette isn't feeling well. It sounds like she has a little upper respiratory infection. I know it's hard to get nervous lush little ones in to us. A couple suggestions would be to research and see if there are any mobile vets in the area that could come to you and stay in your own environment. The other suggestion would be to check with your veterinarian, or others around there, to see if they would be willing to do a house call. They may also be willing you prescribe a sedative to calm them before coming in if a house call isn't an option. Good luck.
