Why are my cat's eyes dilated after bringing home a new kitten?

My cat Harleyquinn does not like my newly adopted kitten. Harley’s eyes always seem to be dilated ever since we brought the new kitten home. Her eyes do constrict when I check her eyes with a bright light but as soon as I take the light away they go back to being dilated. Does this mean that Harley is under stress because of the new addition to our family? Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Female | spayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 11.4 lbs
