My 9-year-old cat has light poop with bright red blood. What's wrong?

My cat has been pooping light colour lately for about 4 days now. He’s been eating wild frontier nutro dry food because he doesn’t like wet food. He is 9 years old. Also today I noticed the end of his poop had bright red blood in it. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered

It might just be caused by something in the food that he ate. If he is otherwise acting normal then you could add a probiotic to his food, like Proviable or Fortiflora, and see if that helps. If his signs continue then he should be examined by a vet to determine if there is a problem that needs to be treated. Your vet can test a stool sample to help diagnose.
