Diarrhea could be caused by parasites, change in diet, toxin ingestion, infectious viral diseases, blockage in the intestines caused by ingestion of a foreign body, stress, or a mass/growth in the gastrointestinal tract. The vet may want to do blood work to make sure the liver is functioning properly. If so then it is likely that your kitty has an intestinal infection that will require antibiotics to clear up.

White stool can be seen with a significant decrease in bile flow due to severe liver or gallbladder disease, but it doesn't sound like this is the case for Thumbs since he is otherwise healthy. Liver or gallbladder disease would also likely cause vomiting, decreased appetite and changes on lab work. It is more likely that the change in the color of his stool is related to diet and as long as he has been deemed healthy by your veterinarian it is not likely anything to worry about.

This may be something inappropriate that he ate but may also be intestinal worms - I recommend deworming him with a good quality wormer dosed accurately for his weight as a precaution; repeat again in one month. Continue to monitor for any other intestinal signs also such as diarrhea or vomiting

Poor girl. White feces can be a sign of dehydration. I would reocmmend ensuring you have easily accessible water for Snickers at all times. You should also consider getting a kitty water fountatin to encourage her to drink more. The bloody poop likely is caused by the really dry stool causing irritation as it is coming out. If the stools continue to be white after making these adjustments or if you see any more blood, then I would recommend getting Snickers seen by your vet. Hello, sorry to hear about Fatboy. Occasionally changes in diet or medications may cause color changes in their stools. Alternatively, parasites may also cause them to have variations in feces color. If this continues, then an initial step would be to have his stool tested for parasites by your primary care veterinarian. Alternatively, given his constipation history, this color change may be associated with him being constipated and therefore if you note he is straining to defecate more often, then you should speak with your veterinarian about rechecking him in order to prevent his constipation from getting worse. It could just be from something in his diet. If it continues and/or he has any diarrhea then he should be examined by a vet for a work-up. Your vet can run lab-work to determine if any treatment is needed. You could also add a probiotic, like Fortiflora or Proviable to his diet and see if that helps.

Sometimes even a simple diet switch from one food to another is enough to cause intestinal inflammation or bacterial imbalance and diarrhea in cats. Though his risk is low, it's also possible he could have an intestinal parasite (cannot be ruled out without a fecal test). You can try adding one tbsp of canned pumpkin to his diet for fiber. If he does not improve soon, it would be best to take him to a vet. Sometimes a short course of medication is necessary to resolve this type of diarrhea.

The discoloration in their stool most likely was from mucous in combination with their normal stool color. It can make the stool appear lighter in color and is caused by inflammation in the colon. It sounds like this was a temporary, minor problem and everything is back on track for your kitties. Happy to hear. I would recommend to take a sample of stool from the litter box to your veterinarian so they can check for any parasites in the stool.
