My 5-month-old kitten has extra canine teeth. What should I do?

Hi, my almost 5 month old kitten has 4 cainine teeth on the top of his mouth (2 one either side) and I was just wondering if this was anything to be concerned about? If so, what would be the next appropriate course of action? It doesn’t seem to cause any pain or discomfort.

Good observation. These are retained baby teeth. They should be out by now, but it looks like the permanent tooth did not push it out. These teeth do tend to cause problems, because it's easy for debris to get trapped in-between the two teeth and cause infection. For this reason, we usually recommend removal of the tooth.
