My Persian cat won't eat Royal Canin. What other food can I try?

Please suggest me some cat food brand for my persian cat Right now feeding them royal canin persian 30 but they dont eat its well so please suggest me some other brand or in royal canin product im from india

I'm sorry that your cats won't eat Royal Canin! I personally believe that it's an excellent brand of food. You can try a different flavor of Royal Canin. Other brands I recommend include Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!

My 3 year old male cat 12-13 lbs and healthy. I feed him wet canned food, approx. 1.5 oz 3 times a day. I also leave dry food out for him. He devours the cat food fresh from the can in the morning, but tends toward the dry food as the day goes on.
As a general rule of thumb, I tend to recommend Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan and Royal Canin diets. These companies thoroughly analyze the nutrient profiles of their foods, perform controlled clinical studies and source their ingredients well. As for Gracie's canned foods, consider microwaving the refrigerated portions for a few seconds to see if this may tempt him to eat any "leftovers".

Is it OK to mix royal canon SO with Muse(natural chicken, egg & pumpkin grain free) to get him to eat more SO. Three year old 14 lbs house cat, water intake good
No, it is not really recommended you do that. He is on the Royal Canin SO due to an urinary issue (I am assuming) so if you add any other type of food in with it you are negating the effects of the prescription diet. The idea with the SO (or any other prescription urinary diet) is to keep the urine pH at a specific level to help decrease the chance of him making urinary crystals/stones. If you add another food into that, the pH will no longer be optimal. If he doesn't seem to like the Royal Canin SO, talk to your vet about trying a different brand of urinary diet. Other companies make comparable diets and some cats like those better. That being said, if he is not too fat or too thin, then he is likely eating enough. I'm assuming you have tried both the canned and dry versions of the SO? If not, then you can consider this as well. Some cats prefer canned food over dry and visa versa.

I would recommend choosing a brand of food and sticking with it. Changing food frequently can lead to digestive upset and a picky eater. Royal Canin is one of my top choices! It meets AAFCO standards, runs their own feeding trials, and have veterinary nutritionists on staff. It's one of only four brands that have all this, the others are Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I feed my dogs Iams. I think you have Chloe on an excellent food and I would not change it! Keep up the good work :-)

I have a new kitten and I'm having a hard time finding a brand/type of cat food that she will eat. Any suggestions?
Some brands I like include Science Diet, Royal Canin, and Nutro. Each of these brands offers a variety of types of food in both wet and dry formulations, and some even have specific formulas for certain breeds of cat, or nutritional need. You can try slowly transitioning to a new food to see if Bella enjoys any of them. Try not to switch too rapidly as a sudden food change can cause digestive upset. If she's having a hard time eating dry food, you can also try adding a little water to soften up any kibble, and warm it up in the microwave for 2-4 seconds to make it more enticing.

I think this is a very good food for treating crystalluria, and there are some differences between this food and urinary foods by other companies like Hill's. One difference that comes to mind is the calorie content - Royal Canin SO tends to be lower in calories than Hill's c/d. You may want to ask your veterinarian about the Royal Canin SO Olfactory attraction food which is supposed to be more palatable for cats, or if Bean really seems to dislike it you could ask about switching to another therapeutic diet. There are no over the counter alternatives that are proven to prevent urinary crystals in cats.

It looks like you have tried a lot of foods! Some cats are extremely picky. The most palatable high quality brands are Royal Canin, Purina ProPlan and Nutro. My persian wouldnt eat wet food...he is very used to Royal Canin Persian foods nd thinks nothing of wet food...How do i get him to eat? I heard they do not need the carbohydrates in dry food so im worried.
Carbs are fine for cats! If Peanut like the Royal Canin Persian food, then give it to him. I have a Persian cat as well, and that's what I feed him. He loves it as well. Keep feeding him the Royal Canin Persian :-)
