Hi there! Sorry to hear that Shooter is not feeling well. The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Shooter evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they can address dehydration if present and start him on anti-diarrhea and anti-nausea medications. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for your boy!

Has your puppy been vaccinated yet? If not, the I would be concerned that your dog may have parvovirus. Intestinal parasites are also common in young puppies and may be a contributing factor as well. Other common causes of diarrhea include gastritis (inflammation of the stomach wall), pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, or a foreign body/blockage. I would recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours. If Leo is still vomiting after this time then a visit to the vet is warranted. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
