Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 17 days old | 4 lbs
Hi My female occicat is 4 months an she is one of the most fussiest eaters that I know cats to be. She wont eat anything processed in soft food at all and I have tried every brand on the market trying to establish what she likes but she does have kibble. I cook chicken and Salmon at home for her and her brother. She eats everything once and then turns up her nose at it. She hasn't been spayed yet The brother male of same age ha been fixed last week.

Poor Denali! I think the key is to let her get a little hungry. If she likes dry food, then I would leave the dry food out all the time so that she can nibble throughout the day. I would try to not feed them the chicken and salmon daily as she is likely holding out on the cat food for the homemade food. Sometimes it come down to who is more stubborn. If you want to feed her the dry food then I would leave it down for her. If she still refuses to eat after a couple of days, then I would have your vet take a look at her. There could be something else going on causing the poor or picky appetite. I know this is tough love, but it will be worth it if you can get her to eat regular cat food. Regular cat food will be healthier for her long term as homemade diets don't have all the nutrients in them that the need to stay healthy. I hope this helps!
