Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Male | unneutered | 0 lbs

Hi my pet rat has locked very ill for a while now and I don't what the issue is. He's normally very active and runs around, but he's only walking every where and very slowly and falls over alot,he can't climb anything and doesn't seem to be able to use all his paws very well so we have to feed him by hand and he's lost lots of weight. He's recently been the vets to get his teeth trimmed he seemed ok after that but now he's just got worse. He's has red marks on his legs and closed eyes mostly

Poor Loki! It sounds like he could be suffering from a heart issue or lung issue (pneumonia, cancer, fungal infection) among other things. I would strongly recommend to take him back to your vet for a recheck. Your vet will be able to determine the cause and get him started on the proper meds if needed. They will even be able to take X-rays to look st his lungs if they sounds unclear. Unfortunately I don’t think there is any good home remedies for him as he sounds very sick. I hope this helps.
