Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 8 months old | 6.6 lbs
Hello! I own a cat who is 21 mths old and sterilized. Lately the cat lost appetite. He seems eager to eat, but he just takes a few bytes. He drinks a lot of water though. We also took some blood samples, I attach them here. On a first look at the results, the vet told us it could be dry infectious peritonitis. His nose is also pale, rather yellowish. We scheduled a MRI next week as the vet felt something inside the belly. Please tell me your opinion. What are the chances for my cat? Thank you!

I am so sorry to hear that Messi isn't feeling well. With the protein levels being so high, I too, would be very concerned about FIP. I think the imaging next week should be helpful in making a diagnosis. Another possibility could be a severe abdominal abscess. This would also be very concerning. Certainly there is a possibility of finding a curable problem, but I would start to prepare yourself for the possibility of a life threatening diagnosis. I am so sorry you are experiencing this. Best of luck, and thank you for using Pet Coach.
