My dog's penis is red and bloody after erection, is it an emergency?

My male GSP mix got an errection and seems to have injured himself and has a very red and somewhat bloody penis

Hello. Thank you for using PetCoach. Chief really needs to see a vet for this problem. It sounds like he has paraphimosis and he may have also injured his os penis (bone inside the penis). If the os penis is fractured this can be very serious as it may have lacerated the urethra.
