My senior dog has diabetes and pancreatitis. Can his pain be managed?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 12 years and 9 months old | 40 lbs

I HAVE A 13 YEAR OLD RETRIEVER THAT HAS BEEN DIABETEC FOR 5 YEARS AND IS NOW HAS PANCREATITIS WILL THIS GO AWAY OR IS HE GOING TO HAVE PAIN AND HAVE TO GET PAIN PILLS EVERY DAY HE ALSO LOST HIS SIGHT AND IS COMPLETLEY BLIND I DONT WANT HIM TO SUFFER OR BE IN ANY PAIN

Pancreatitis is usually a chronic condition, this means the disease will not go away completely but the symptoms will, as long as a special diet for this condition is given on a regular basis, flair ups are common but usually very manageable.
