My female cat , un spayed, is discharging a milking color substance and seems to be in pain when I touch her sides. 2 hours have passed the discharge has slowed a lot and she doesn't seem to be in pain anymore . what could this be? She is about 9 months old. No kittens

This is likely a uterine infection and the milky substance would be pus. In these cases it's best to have her evaluated by a veterinarian, because these infections can get worse if left untreated. It's not an emergency, but best to have her seen within 24 hours. The vet can give the necessary medications and spay her to keep it from happening again. I hope that helps and Scarlet gets better soon.
