Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 2 days old | 7 lbs
My cat is 8 months old and she went into heat for the first time around October now almost every week or less. Is this normal?

Cats are seasonally polyestrus which means that they continually go in and out of heat during breeding season. Normally breeding season starts in January, so Midnight is just a little ahead of the curve. I have attached a handout on the cat reproductive cycle below. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=3604 Unfortunately, going in and out of heat continually is normal and will continue, so I would certainly recommend having Midnight spayed to stop that cycle. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.
