My puppy is limping and crying. How do I know if her leg is broken?

How do you know if you pet has a broken leg. The reason I asked that is that my 3 month old pup, when she walk on her left paw she always making noises and I don’t know what to do. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 6 lbs

It's not likely to be broken if she is using that leg but if she seems to be in pain when using the leg you should take her to the vet in order to get it checked, the vet will do a physical exam and will usually be able to tell you right away if he suspects a fracture or not.
