Hello. Diarrhea in a young kitten is almost always parasites. Left untreated, she can get worse, not only from the loss of fluids, but she will eventually become very sore & irritated from diarrhea. The best would be to have her examined by a veterinarian where a stool sample can be examined for parasites. Then the appropriate treatment can be started to help her heal her digestive tract. Take care.

If your kitten has not yet been dewormed, intestinal parasites could be causing the diarrhea. I would definitely recommend having a fecal exam on Muffin's stool and then have her dewormed. Sometimes, if the diarrhea is severe, the kitten may need an antibiotic to help clear it up. While parasites are very common, other things such as food, stress, and viruses can cause diarrhea as well.
