Is my dog overdue for deworming? When are her next vaccines due?

Jessi should be dewormed every three months, so she is very overdue for her next deworming treatment if the last one she received was 16/4/2017. She should be dewormed immediately. As for the vaccines, it looks like her next booster for rabies, DHPPi, and leptospirosis are due April 2018. That will be a year after they were last given. I hope this helps!

You can repeat the deworm after 2 weeks. If there was a heavy worm burden then it may not have gotten them all. Also, make sure your dewormer has praziquantel to cover tapeworms--they get these from eating a flea. Her vaccines will be due every 3 weeks until she is 16 weeks old. A veterinarian has to administer the rabies vaccines typically between 12-16 weeks of age depending on your state laws and the size of the puppy. You vet can also do a health exam to make sure everything is normal at this time.

Sorry sir i dint you clearly Can i know once again When i should give him deworming tablet?? 1 days before vaccination and then after that when i should give him in the month of may or after 3 months???
You can give him the deworming tablet one day before the vaccines, then he should get another one a month after that in May, and after that he should get a deworming tablet every three months to keep him free from intestinal worms. I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! In the US we recommend the DHPP vaccine (distemper, parvo, hepatitis and parainfluenza) every 3-4 weeks starting at 6-8 weeks of age until 2 past 12 weeks. That vaccine lasts for a year. Then 1 year later it is given again and is good for 3 years. The Rabies vaccine is given between 12-16 weeks of age, The first rabies is good for 1 year then they are good for 3 years. There are elective vaccines that you can choose from which depends on your dogs life stype: Bordatella, canine flu, leptospirosis, and lyme. We recommend heartworm preventative in the US starting at 8 weeks of age and it be given monthly year round life long. Flea and tick medication is usually in a monthly form-either as a chewable pill or topical application and how long you give it depends on your weather year round. If it never gets cold and fleas and ticks are always present then we recommend you give it monthly year round life long. There is a flea and tick collar that is good

My dog completed her vaccine and deworm but she still need to go back every 3 months for deworm. The thing is, I've missed to bring her to vet and she's 3 weeks delay from the scheduled deworm. My dog is indoor and 2 years old. I saw a chart stating
Regular deworming has been advised for a long time, but the current practice is to test and treat only if necessary. Personally, I think deworming every three months is overkill and a big reason why we have resistance now. If you live in an area that's high risk for worms and your dog is more likely to get exposed to worms, then testing every six months should be fine. If it's a lower risk, then testing once a year would be more practical. Your vet should be able to help get you on a more strategic deworming plan. For now, I would not worry about missing this one deworming. She should be fine and can wait at- least another month to check if the deworming is needed. I hope that helps.

The dosage depends on her weight and this will be written on the medication label. regarding the schedule it is once a month until the age of 6 months and then once every 3 months for the rest of her life.

Dogs should be dewormed regularly, even if they don't have worms. It's to prevent them from getting them, so it's fine the vet gave Lulu a deworming treatment. Yes, he does need another vaccine at 17-18 weeks. Dogs need three series of vaccines in order to be fully protected. I hope this helps!

My dog missed her annual vaccination it’s been 4 months. Her vaccination was missed because I read online that dogs need to be vaccinated every 3 years. I think i misread that info. What should I do?
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Chanel. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. Some vaccines are licensed for 3 years and others need to be given annually. It also depends on her if vaccines are current or not if she can be eligible for a 3 year vaccine. For example, a 1 year rabies vaccine is given to a puppy. Then she would receive the 3 year vaccine as an adult. If her vaccines stay current, she would need a booster every 3 years. If she is overdue, then she may receive a 1 year vaccine again to start the series over. I hope this information helps!

First deworming done 3 days before injection when sandy was 1.5 month , now when i should deworm her,, does deworming affect puppy health ,,
If Sandy has only been dewormed and vaccinated once when she was 1.5 months of age than she should be seen by a vet for more vaccines and deworming. You could also take a stool sample and have your vet test it for parasites. Also, treating her monthly with a heartworm medication, like HeartGard will protect her from common intestinal parasites every month.

Hello its regarding stray dogs.. There r 2 pups born in my locality, maybe around 2 months old.. When should i give them anti rabbies shots and deworming?
Great question! And may I say how lovely of you to give them deworming treatments and giving them vaccines. They can have their deworming treatments now, and their first rabies vaccine at 12 weeks. They will need a booster of the rabies at 16 weeks of age. I would recommend vaccinating them now with a DHPPi (distemper, parvo, parainfluenza, hepatitis) combination shot. They will need a second booster of that in four weeks after the first shot, and a third booster four weeks after the second shot.
