Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 7 months and 7 days old

I have a cat that I adopted from a aminal control about a month age. He is 7 months old and has started to have one very water eye that comes out like a brown color and I clean it twice a day and is constanly coming back. He has started to have orageish colored diarrhea. I have a vet appointment for him just want to know if I need to take him to the emergancey vet or what may be wrong with him

At his age either may be from a viral infection. The diarrhea can be change in food, stress or parasites based on what he has been treated for prior. If he is not vomiting and still has an appetite then you don’t need to see an Er at this point. However if you notice these changes or bloody diarrhea then I would get him seen sooner
