Hi, my name is Cody and i have a male cat who a little over a year old. recently he got outside and came back in limping. two days has gone by and he refuses to step on his back left foot. it looks a little swollen and it looks like he may have cut the pad on the bottom of his foot, but i have no idea whats wrong. is there any way you could explain to me how i could check if he has a broken foot or any other advice? thank you!

Poor Paul. I would recommend taking Paul to a vet to determine if the foot is broken Sometimes the only way to tell is with an x-ray to see the fracture. Also some cats will get small cuts and become infection, It is important for a vet to assess the foot to determine if antibiotics are needed or maybe pain medication I hope that helps
