Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 17 years old | 14 lbs
Is there an approximate cost for a geriatric panel? My cat is almost 16 and I have noticed he is losing weight but he remains in good spirits and doesn’t seem ill.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It depends on what you mean by a geriatric panel. If you mean a physical examination, general lab work and chest radiographs which is part of a standard geriatric panel to check general health, that would be anywhere from $300-700 perhaps depending on which clinic you go to but that would be a ballpark. I think that would be a good idea for Jack. Weight loss in an older kitty can be seen with things like chronic kidney disease and hyperthyroidism, among other possibilities. You would be able to check for these with general geriatric tests. Good luck and have a good night!
