Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 25 lbs
My cat has some bumps on her stomach, they're red and round and recently she has started to bite them so in turn there is some bleeding. I read online that it could just be fatty tumor, what can I do? She also lost a tooth a while back, her gums seem to have some blackness, is it concerning or nothing to worry about?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could be a benign or malignant growth. Based on its location, this could also be a mammary gland tumor which in most cases are malignant. This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. Good luck and have a good day!

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The spot on Cozy's belly definitely looks very suspicious of a mass or tumor, especially at her age. I recommend having the area looked at by a vet as soon as possible. Your vet will be able to either remove the mass completely and confirm whether it is malignant or benign, or take smaller samples using a small needle. I hope this helps!
