Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | neutered | 11 years old | 100 lbs
My 100 pound 10 year old husky has a cut on his paw and his back legs won't work to stand up. He has diabetes and is wimpering because he can't get up. He is on pain kill medicine but it doesn't seem to be helping . No vets are open what do I do?

Although disinfection can be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths and buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking/scratching, a check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to definitively solve the problem. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
