Why does my cat like bananas? Are bananas safe for cats to eat?

My cat has developed a liking for bananas. She doesn't get much, but I wonder if it's harmful, and why she would want it.

Bananas are not harmful to cats. Some cats have a sweet tooth and like certain fruits. My cats love cantalope. As long as you limit how much Lulu gets (to avoid any possible GI upset), bananas shouldn't cause any problem. I hope that was helpful.
