My cat bites me when I pet him. Is this play, and how do I stop it?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 29 days old

We've had Yoki for 3mths. Hes a great cat and we love him. He seems to have bonded with me (Mommy) more than anyone. He follows me every where when hes not sleeping. He likes to be as close to me as he can get. He paws my hair and purrs at bedtime. He rubs his face on mine and gives me "kisses" alot. The thing is, he wants to be petted but be bites when petted. Always. He will wrap his front paws around my arm and bite any where he can. It doesnt stop until I take my arm away. Is this play?

yes, this is him playing however it is still unwanted behavior because he teaches him he is in charge and is allowed to bite. When this happens, tell him no, and place him down away from you. Give a few minutes to realize you will not show any attention then you can continue loving him or playing with after that until he learns acceptable behavior.
