My cat has red dots after shaving matted fur. How can I help him?

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | 1 year and 11 months old | 8.818 lbs

My cat hair was so matted and scrumbled in each other so I shave all hair...but asa I shaved I observe there is some red dots all over his skin..I live in small town and I don't know any vet here so I want to know how to treat.

It looks like Dakota either has irritation or a skin infection from the matts. I would make sure he is licking or scratching at he areas and if he does I would recommend finding a veterinarian to take him too. If it isn't bothering at them I would say I it is ok to wait until next week to find a veterinarian. There isn't anything over the counter to give. Your veterinarian may give oral antibiotics and may give a steroid injection if itching a lot. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
