My cat is limping on his front paw intermittently. Should I take him to the vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Bombay | Male | neutered | 4 years and 11 months old | 18 lbs

My cat who is four years old has been limping recently. He won’t put pressure on his front left paw. The weird thing about it though is that one day he will be limping and the next day he will be walking on it and be fine. This has been going on for a few weeks now. I’m not sure what is going on, do you have any ideas on what it could be? Should I take him into the vet?

This can happen with some soft tissue damage (tendon, ligament or muscle tears), or possibly with a deep infection. I think it would be best to have a vet check him out, since it has been going on for a couple of weeks. The vet will likely be able to narrow down the cause of this at exam and offer a good treatment option. I hope that helps and Hunter gets better soon.
