Why are my 6-month-old kittens sick with green diarrhea and lethargy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 27 days old | 5 lbs

My 6 month old kittens that are brothers suddenly started having green diarrhea, one looked like it had soapy bubbles in it. They refuse to eat, aren't drinking much water which I am giving only bottled water, they are very tired and seem to be losing weight by the minute.

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. I would recommend bringing a poop sample to the veterinarian and have it tested for intestinal parasites. With the diarrhea, they may be dehydrated and the veterinarian can help replenish their fluids when seen. The sooner they are seen by a veterinarian the better as severe dehydration can be fatal. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
