After feline distemper, when can my vaccinated cats use the bedroom?

My son picked up 2 sick kittens along the road & have both been put down. had feline distemper my adult cats have been exposed. lost 1 tested positive. litter boxes have been scrubbed bleach solution as well as carpets, floors Food bowls , toys thrown away & replaced . My cat that died took very sick in my bedroom. room has been off limits to my other cats. They were never vaccinated against distemper now they are. 6 weeks ago had their 1st shot. Is it safe to allow them in bedroom?

Feline distemper can last years in the envirom=nment. In order for your cats to be as safe as they can be, they need to complete their series of vaccinations. Since they are adults, that means they need two vaccinations given 3-4 weeks apart for maximum immunity benefits. I would get them both vaccinated again, then repeat it in 3-4 weeks, THEN I might consider letting them back into your bedroom, as long as everything possible inside it has been disinfected with a 1:32 solution of household bleach and water.
