My dog has IBD and stopped eating. What can I do to help her?

Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 9 years and 6 months old | 30.8 lbs

My dog has inflammatory bowel disease and I’ve been giving her chicken with sweet potato and carrots with rice. But she has stopped eating it and is at death door . I had her to a vet and spent £1000 now and he said she will get through it or die , can you help please

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If she has been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and her diet is not keeping the condition under control anymore, your veterinarian could consider immunosuppressive therapy starting with prednisone for example if her medical history allows. That alone can help quite a lot in these cases. They could also consider an appetite stimulant such as Entyce to help in the meantime. Good luck!
