Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 1 month old | 9 lbs
Tiger is an extremely friendly cat, but earlier today he out of no where scratched my mother's head. She was simply sitting, not even knowing the cat was behind her. It was extremely unusual because Tiger has never done that. He is still young and he does playfully bite. But should I take his random attack as aggression? He's very sweet so again it was gery unusual. Also, no, my mother wasn't messing with him she didn't even know he was near her. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Hello. No, I would not take this as an act of aggression, as cats can invent the most annoying games. In addition, sometimes a freshly washed head of hair is an irresistible attractant. I have a cat that just loves my head after a shower, & yes, sometimes he gets a little too rough. Try & discourage any play bites & rough playing. When a cat is in the mood to grab & bite, it is just best to scold, & then ignore the cat. Either move him away to another room or, you move away from his immediate grasp. Eventually, he will learn not to play so rough. Merry Christmas.
