Why does my cat keep getting UTIs despite clean litter and good food?

what will cause a cat to get uti ,she is on grain free food litter box is always clean she does get treats. Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | 2 years and 7 months old | 11 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There could be a structural problem- meaning pouches in the bladder or abnormal placement of the ureters. The other concern would be stones in the bladder causing recurrent infections. I recommend taking her to a vet for an X-ray to look for stones. I would then talk to the vet about a prescription diet to help decrease the frequency of her infections. This is a very broad problem and you will need a vet to help you get to the root of it and discuss the best treatment options. Good luck and kisses to Minx!
