Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There could be a structural problem- meaning pouches in the bladder or abnormal placement of the ureters. The other concern would be stones in the bladder causing recurrent infections. I recommend taking her to a vet for an X-ray to look for stones. I would then talk to the vet about a prescription diet to help decrease the frequency of her infections. This is a very broad problem and you will need a vet to help you get to the root of it and discuss the best treatment options. Good luck and kisses to Minx!

Hi there. It depends on many factors, and without knowing what the urine tests showed it's difficult to tell. I would wonder about their urine being too alkaline and allowing bacteria to form, or that they need to be on a different diet to help them drink more water and flush their diets. I would ask your vet about what you can do at home based on the results of the urine test on your kitties. I hope that helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
