My dog has diarrhea and vomiting a week after neuter. Is this normal?

My little Leo(male chihuahua) just got fixed a little over a week ago and he has had diarrhea and vomiting for 2 days now.. he’s eating chicken and rice and accepts a good amount of water or pedialite should I be worried. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 4.6 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If he is still eating and energy level is good, I would continue with the bland diet. I would also add in a probiotic such as Purina fortiflora which can be found online or at a pet store. If the diarrhea does not let up and he continues to vomit after another few days or he worsens, I would get him seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
