My pregnant dog has a soft belly lump. What is it? Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 27 lbs

What is this? Please see the attachment. It is swollen a little and soft when I press it. When I press, she didn't react to it. She is pregnant now. It was there before pregnancy also. I adopted her from the street. She is eating, drinking, playing and seems to be fine. There is no vet here. Is this a serious condition? Hoping for a favourable response from you.

This could be an umbilical hernia, the location would suggest that, umbilical hernias are common, it's basically a hole in the abdominal wall that requires surgical repair at some point, it is usually not urgent though.
