Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 7 years and 7 months old | 80 lbs
Dog has had loose stool for a few days. Not watery. Pancake consistency. Fecal test negative for parasites. Been on a rice and boiled chicken diet for a couple days. Stool still loose. Dog threw up a small amount of yellow vomit with bits of rice in it. Appetite is good. Energy is normal. She only has to go poo 1-2 times a day. Am I missing something or doing anything wrong?

It appears that you are treating her based on solid veterinary advice. Sometimes it takes a week or two for things to get back to normal, so I think it's worth hanging in there and giving treatment as advised by your veterinarian. One thing that may also be helpful is the addition of probiotics to Bailey's food. These can be purchased from the pet store or your veterinarian. What you are describing is not too concerning, so I would not be too worried that she has any severe illness. If Bailey has any of the following, then I would be more concerned and recommend a recheck by your vet: 1) Blood in diarrhea 2) Very watery diarrhea 3) Starts acting very depressed 4) Stops eating or drinking for longer than 24 hours. I hope that helps and Bailey gets better soon.
